Q: QuestionCan this be set up to work without direct computer connection after set up? Need central office location with the least amount of cable tethers outside of phone line.

• A:Answer Yes. I have mine set up as a wired network printer. I gave it a static IP address and have other networked computers add it. I can print from a wired workstation or a wireless laptop as long as they are on the same network. Works great that way.

• A:Answer I have only had this for a short time, However it has been great. yes I can scanning, copying and faxing from the feeder. it also will do multiple pages on both sides. I have not faxed however since everything else works great. I am going to assume that faxing works well too. I use this to scan to one of my billing systems: which requires me to use TWAIN, my life has become so much easier by using this.

• A:Answer This printer will scan to email. It's a bit tricky to set up but it basically sends through your email account. Tech support was quite patient with me. I am fairly tech savvy but it took over 2 hours to get it set up. You need to update the printer firmware for IFaxes. Why they didn't include it in the first place I don't understand.

• A:Answer It will do them if it is in the mood, and the humidity is right so they don't stick together. It is awful on envelopes, and the labels will go through without jamming if you MANUALLY FEED one sheet at a time. There are better machines out there, even from Brother, don't invest your time in this one.

• A:Answer I would not advise using this printer for printing photos. Generally laser printers are not designed to do that. You would need to find a good inkjet printer to accomplish that. Most new inkjets will print from a phone now.
