• A:Answer I would not recommend this printer for printing photos. Color calibration must be done manually and only laser printer stock is recommended. There is glossy brochure paper that you could use, but most photo paper is intended for use in ink-jet printer and is not intended to withstand the heat of laser printing.

Q: QuestionIs the 3710 model a traditional laser printer or an LED printer? I have read that LED printers give off a strong oder, which may be harmful. Is this really an issue? How long does the odor last?

• A:Answer The Brother MFC-L3710CW is an Electrophotographic LED printer, this does not affect the odor of the machine. Laser and LED printers may produce normal operational odors from toner, paper dust, room dust, ozone, etc. The strength of the odor can be dependent on different factors such as age of the machine and amount of use of the machine. Q: QuestionI am on the waitlist for a MFC-L3710CW. I keep getting emails saying that it’s available now, but when I click the shop now button to go buy it, it says none are available. I have been waiting a couple weeks and I’m in desperate need. Please help.

• A:Answer I had the same issue. I was on the waitlist for a few weeks and, over that time, received a few emails that the printer was available only to find that it was sold out when I clicked Best Buy to order it. That appears to be a totally useless "service". I started checking the Best Buy website a couple of times a day for this printer and just happened to find it available one day. I ordered it immediately and it was shipped quickly. Good luck!

• A:Answer The Brother MFCL3710CW does not support dual tray printing. A similar model that does support adding additional trays to the machine would be the MFC-L8900CDW. The part number for the trays would be LT-330CL (250 sheets input) and LT-340CL (500 sheets input).

• A:Answer The Brother MFCL3710CW may not work with some DSL, VoIP, or magicJack services. Brother doesn't guarantee that fax transmission will work over VoIP phone lines. Internet traffic can interfere with faxing because VoIP communicates through the internet and not through a standard analog telephone line. The data sent over the internet for fax is digitized into packets, which can cause data loss. This machine does not support sending faxes over Wi-Fi. We recommend using a traditional analog line to send or receive faxes for best results. The machine is compatible with Windows 7.
