Buy an extra and the machine will let you know when you need to change it. I’ve only replaced mine one time and it’s real simple,read the instructions about recycling the used one before you take he empty one out.

The estimated drum life is approximately 18,000 pages when printing on Letter or A4 size paper. The actual number of pages your drum will print may be significantly less than this estimate. Because we have no control over the many factors that determine actual drum life, we can't guarantee a minimum number of pages that will be printed by your drum unit.
