The toner cartridge shelf life is 2 years if the protective bag is unopened or 6 months after the protective bag is opened
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is a laser printer and the cartridge does not dry out. Even here in the desert of Southern Utah
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Since the cartridges are "dry", there is nothing to dry out. Inkjets use a "wet" medium so there is always the chance the ink will dry and clog the print head from low usage. Sometimes you might have to run a cleaner sheet to wipe away the ink dust that accumulates on a laser printer but a couple of run throughs usually clear it up. And many printers even have a "cleaning" mode.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've used laser printers for a long time and I've never had a toner cartridge dry out. The toner is a powder so it's dry anyway. I haven't had an ink jet printer in years, but family members have, and you're right, the cartridges dry out or the nozzles get gummed up with age. And they're ridiculously expensive. Laser is the way to go.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. It’s a laser printer cartridge - it uses toner(which is a dry, dust-like powder) instead of the liquid ink, so it won’t dry out if not used for a long time. From my experience - toner cartridge lasts as long as there is some toner inside. I had an old Xerox printer, which was rarely used, and one cartridge lasted for several years, until it finally ran out of toner.
