- Answer It works great with any Windows 10 PC, just make sure your printer firmware is up to date.

QuestionI have a mac with no CD rom drive, will I be able to set this printer up with out using the CD?

- Answer printer is wifi enabled, so If you have wifi, the printer will be discoverable. I was within 10 feet of modem, didn't need the CD and wifi discovered it. Fast easy install

- Answer Easily handles 65 and 68 lb paper stock. Never tried it on 101 lb card stock.

- Answer The Brother MFCJ497DW does not support disc printing. Brother currently does not manufacture a model that supports disc printing.

QuestionWhere do you plug a USB cable in to the MFC497DW printer? On the side of the unit I see the AC adapter and the phone/fax input. But I do not see any USB input. I need to know because the wireless connection is not working, which means USB is all I have.

- Answer The Brother MFCJ497DW is not compatible with the LC3017 and LC3019 ink cartridges. This machine only supports the LC3011 and LC3013 ink cartridges.

- Answer The Brother MFC-J497DW does not have a manual feed slot to feed one sheet at a time it just has a paper tray for printing and the auto document feeder for scanning, copying, or faxing. The maximum weight is going to vary depending on the paper type, for example plain paper, glossy paper, etc. Here is a link with the maximum paper weight for each paper type you can use with the Brother machine: https://help.brother-usa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/149554

- Answer Unfortunately the Brother MFCJ497DW machine is not able to automated two sided scan or copy. Brother strongly recommends that customers use only Brother Genuine cartridges for optimal results. Using non-Brother supplies may affect the hardware performance, print quality and machine reliability. The Brother limited warranty may not apply to any problem that is caused by the use of third-party supplies. If you have purchased a compatible cartridge and have any questions, please contact the seller. This model is able to print from a Chromebook device.
