“Can this be used as a countertop microwave?”

• Hello- Thanks so much for checking with us. An Over-the-Range microwave can't be used on top a countertop. Please see the following statement and explanation: According to Underwriters Laboratories (UL), which approves appliance installations, you cannot use an over-the-range microwave on the counter or in a shelf. Besides not being approved for this installation, these microwaves don't have feet and are also often slanted (not level) on the bottom. Additionally, if the surface lights or vent fan were to be turned on accidentally, it could cause damage to the shelf or microwave. We hope this helps! • Yes. It has a fan, but as long as you don't hit the button, it's fine on the counter.
