Q: QuestionIs the filter self cleaning? Is their a grinder that pulverizes food debris?

• A:Answer Hi there - Great questions! The ultra-fine and fine filters are not self-cleaning. The filters should be cleaned every other month or more depending on usage. Also, this dishwasher does have a hard food disposer that grinds food particles before they go down the drain. This clears the passage through to the drain and eliminates the need to pre-rinse dishes. Thanks so much for considering Café! -Mikayla

Q: QuestionI read one of your answers above, that says this model comes with a brushed bronze handle, which is what I'm looking for. However, it appears in the photo that it's a stainless handle with a bonze ring at the end. Could you clarify this for me? Thanks!!

Based on the Quick Specs of the unit, which you can see here: https://content.syndigo.com/asset/7b0479b3-5f7d-4a49-9c6d-5924c7f80cb5/original.pdf - The Matte White version comes with a Brushed Bronze handle and the Matte Black and Stainless Steel versions come with a Brushed Stainless handle. Q: QuestionRust on inside left door. Burn marks o both sides of cabinet. Silicone strip on left inside deteriorating. White staining inside every where.

Q: QuestionNEw unit less than 4 months old. Repairman out already due to door popping open and not staying closed during cycles. He said it was an installation problem. Had the installer back and was working fine for 3 more weeks. Now it’s doing it again.

Q: QuestionDoes this need an air vent for the dishwasher?

Q: QuestionI'm considering purchasing the GE Cafe - CDT845P3ND1 in matte black or the GDT665SFNDS in black slate. Can you comment on the differences between these two. Also, is black matte the same as black slate?
