You could certainly use the Hot Water function on this espresso machine to make hot water for hot chocolate or use the Steam function to steam milk for hot chocolate. For more information on both of those functions, see page 11 of the Owner’s Manual (which can be viewed in the Features tab of the Best Buy product page).
