Hello there, thank you for reaching out. Every setting besides the Bagel, Toast, and Broil settings allow you to adjust the temperature in 5 degree increments. The bagel and toast settings allow you to adjust the shade level of the toasting, while the broil has both high and low temperature settings. While you would not be able to set it at 386 degrees F exactly, you would be able to set to 385 or 390. We hope this clears things up for you! -Eliot@Cafe
