- Answer It uses a 6700 mAh lithium-ion battery and the unit is rated to work in the 14° – 113° F temperature range. One review mentions the battery can power it up to 2 months. So, in cold weather YMMV (your mileage may vary).

- Answer It is dependent on WiFi. It doesn't have its own internet connection built in, otherwise that would probably be more expensive to have to pay for that connection. The WiFi connection on this with my router has been very stable and reached pretty far.

- Answer Hard to say how long the battery will last, but ours drops about 15% in about 12 hours outside in the cold. I believe it will last longer in the summer, so right now I have it plugged into the Christmas light timer outside. It recharges every day now.

- Answer Canary has a free plan, that allows cloud video access for 24 hours per account, divided by the number of cameras you have. You can download any videos from the last 24 hours to your device and keep them forever. If you want your videos to be accessible from the cloud longer, you can pay an annual fee that allows for that. The service plan also includes some cool bonuses like insurance deductible compensation and a case manager, but the camera is fully functional without a subscription.

- Answer Hi Rumbles, It sounds like Canary Flex would work well for you. If you don't need it to record motion, you can maximize your battery life if you set the device to "private" mode with Watch Live enabled. This will disable motion-activated recording while still allowing you to view a live stream. If you Watch Live infrequently and/or for short periods of time, you can expect your battery to last a month or more. If you stream for hours at a time, the battery will likely have to be recharged after a few days. - Answer This really depends if you have your camera setup for every single motion and movement. I have mine setup up with almost every motion. It may last for two-three weeks before needing charged. However it still will have 30-40% left in battery. I suspect when weather gets colder it may not last as long. I’m very pleased for the four months I have had it.
