There is no separate drum. The Single-Cartridge System combines the toner and drum into the same unit, which means you only have one consumable to replace.

A heavy duty laser printer usually have separate the drums and ink cartridges. The drums typically last 10 times or more longer than the life of ink cartridges. When ink runs out, you will only replace the ink cartridges, which are much cheaper than the one integrated with drums. Any laser printer using integrated drum and ink cartridges are cheaper to buy but more expensive to run.
