No, the lens that comes with the camera doesn't require a mount adapter. But if you want to use any of the lenses from another Canon DSLR, then you will. The mount on this mirror less camera is significantly smaller than on DSLR or even the full-frame cameras. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The M6 mark ii has the EOS EF-M lens mount. The native mount lenses are very light and compact. The selection of EF-M lenses is limited. An adapter is required to use the huge variety of Canon Tamron, Sigma, etc. EF and EF-S mount DSLR lenses available. Although much larger in size, you'll find most EF-S lenses much less expensive than a similar EF-M mount, even considering the price of the adapter ($40 for the Viltrox).

Please try again later.If you buy only mirrorless lenses no u don’t need an adapter only if you plan to use dslr lens you will the adapter I believe is 150 I’m buying one later on just to have it but not for a while tho but all the mirrorless lens are great and you will see you don’t need the adapter only to later grow your collection if u get a passion
