A:Answer A mirrorless camera is a camera in which the mirror is removed from the body.... an DSLR has a mirror inside of the body in order to reflect/refract the light that hit's it's sensor still. If you looked inside an SLR's body you will see a mirror on a 45 Degree angle because it will flip up when you press the shutter button. Mirrorless came/as still allow the function of interchangeable lens's but a smaller body which makes it versatile . Typically they have just as good, if not better specs than SLR's that range from $500 up to $4000 because there is no reason to stick with an SLR if you are a first time buyer and don't want to have to work at learning manual mode in order to get the desired professional looking photos, (auto mode will only get you a handful of quality photos. I would recommend Sony's A6000 mirrorless camera if you want to have a camera with interchangeable lens's and an auto mode that is intelligent enough to figure out how to adjust it's setting in order to get the quality photos you are looking for. I highly encourage taking a class to understand how to use manual mode so you are able to see that auto mode on SLR's are not going to get you what you most likely are seeking.
