You need to do that from the printer settings. By default the bypass is on and tray 1 is off. You need to switch off the bypass and turn on tray 1 Home Menu Function settings Printer Printer settings Priortize driver settings when printing Multi purpose tray off and drawer 1 on Apply Home
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.got to Settings/Registration: Function Settings: Printer Settings >Custom Settings then update UNDER : Prioritize Driver Settings When Printing Multi-Purpose Tray: Off (UPDATE to OFF) Drawer 1 : On Action When Paper Size Mismatch: Force Output Thanks
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My wife had this problem on her computer but I didn't have it on mine. Then I got a new computer and had the same problem you're describing. Wouldn't print until I had gone in there and confirmed Tray 1 on the touchscreen. Figured out that even though the 'add printer' function saw it on the home network, the driver installed was generic and not the ImageCLASS driver. Go to the Canon website and download the actual updated driver and install that. Be sure to remove the 'old' device from your list of printers. Restart your computer. See if that works.
