Q: Questioncan this printer print on waterslide paper and printable vinyl? I am concerned you can't print on photo paper

• A:Answer I believe this is a misconception. Laser printers normally work with InkJet Paper, maybe just not as well. But, when it comes to InkJet Photo paper, Laser printers absolutely will not work with them because of the plastic Gloss, being that Laser printers burn the images and will burn the glossy inkjet paper. But, Laser printers will work with Laser Photo Paper, because they are heat tolerant. You can also get vinyl labels for Laser Printers.

Q: QuestionDoes this machine print in the wireless mode with non Mac products? The descriptions I read only include Mac, iPhone, iPad, but I didn’t see anything about other lap tops that aren’t Mac branded.

• A:Answer I will at this point assume that your talking about PVC access cards or even bank cards. I studied and read as much as I could about this printer and a couple others and no where did I read about it being able to print on PVC cards.

• A:Answer I have 8 connected to mine over wifi. With USB (not over a network) it would be only one at a time, but it has features to do multiple users with access codes and whatnot. Not sure if there's any upper boundary on those though.

Q: QuestionIs there a reason that my printer (this printer) is not printing with good quality? The colors are not showing up and I have new cartridges. The black works but not gray... And when I print black it smudges all over the paper.

• A:Answer Yes. The toner probably shifted. Take the cartridges out and rock them up and down 6x raising each edge vertically to level it and then run the image adjustment and it will work fine.

• A:Answer Yes it does labels. The only limitation is it can't do 205 lb card stock. But labels are fine.

• A:Answer There are third party cartridges out there, but you'll have to transfer the Canon chips and you'll never again know how many sheets are left in the count. There is also a third party refill company out there, but that requires drilling, cutting, filling, taping, and keeping the original cartridge with the original chip....pta. You'll find them in a Google search or on Amazon. Best Buy and Canon do not recommend third party toner cartridges. You may affect your warrantee with off brand cartridges.

• A:Answer This was an issue for me as well. You have to download the utility driver. There is a tab that says utilities but nothing was there so I downloaded the driver for machine. That solved all the issues for me. Restart your computer after you download the driver. It does see it if you don’t
