How do I change ink cartridge? What type do I buy? null

To change the ink cartridges, you turn on the printer, open the front panel door. The cartridges move to the middle so you can remove them. Directions are on the door and in the manual that is on your computer when you install the printer. The printer comes with two cartridges 244 for color and 243 for black. The cartridges can be found where printer ink is sold. Don*t forget to align the print heads after installing the cartridges.

I have not had to change a cartridge yet, but it uses a PG245 (Black) and a PG246 (Color). If you find one that has XL at the end that simply means there is more ink in the cartridge and it will last longer. You can always call CANON at their 1-800 number to find out how to change the cartridge.
