If the other ink cartridge is empty, it will still print but those colors will not print.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is an excellent question! My current printer does not. If one color is empty it refuses to print anything. I hate it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Canon PIXMA TR8520 will not print unless there is an ink cartridge in each slot. If you have run out of ink in a cartridge, you should NOT continue printing - Canon warns "Be observant of print quality and fill any cartridge as soon as it runs dry. Printing with an empty cartridge will soon cause printhead nozzles to overheat and fry remaining ink solid." So, if you must continue to print, use the "Printing Preferences" dialog, on the "PAGE SETUP" tab, with the "PRINT OPTIONS...", "Print With:" option: "All Colors (Default)", "All except PGBK (Black)", or "Only PGBK (Black)" to avoid using the cartridge that is empty...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine did - but with both cartridges in place.
