“what ink cartridge does model use tr8620”

• The 8620 uses #281 for the small cartridges and #280 for the big black one. Please note that the cartridges for the 8520 will not work in the 8620 printer. I tried that. Some 3rd party sellers on Amazon claim that they work for both printers. They don't.

• The Canon TR8620 doesn't have a slot for a photo blue cartridge as a previous person has stated- just the standard cli-281 tanks.

• The PIXMA TR8620 Printer takes the Canon - CLI-281 4-Pack Standard Capacity - Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow Ink Cartridges. If you want to print photos, you will need the Canon - CLI-281 XL High-Yield - Photo Blue Ink Cartridge as well.

• It takes canon 281 for all colors and canon 280 for the large black cartridge. I won’t be taking pictures.
