• The printer comes with PG 243 and CL 244 cartridges. These are "starter" cartridges and contain a very low amount of ink, so I wouldn't recommend repurchasing those. The replacements would be PG 245 and CL 246. You can also buy both of these in the XL size, which I would highly recommend so you wouldn't have to change it as often. Just add "XL" after the numbers when searching!

• The printer has two ink cartridges: Canon Pixma 245 (black), 246 (color). The printer seems to report "low ink" condition after only a few days, but in my experience there is still plenty of ink left. I don't change them until the printer tells me they're actually empty. I keep one pair of new spare cartridges so I can swap them in when necessary.

• Just got my printer. Comes with 1 Cannon PG-243 black ink cartridge and 1 Cannon CL-244 ink cartridge
