Q: Questiondoes this printer handle cardstock? I do a lot of homemade cards and need something that will handle different thickness

• A:Answer Yes it will print cardstock. I have printed business cards over and over with this printer. However, it does not have "cardstock" as an option in the drop down selections for paper type. I just selected "high resolution paper". Colors came out so vibrant and the images were very crisp!

Q: QuestionThe operations panel opens automatically and the paper tray extends when I turn on the printer. When I shut it off, the paper tray retracts, but the panel stays up. Is this normal? Do I push it closed?

• A:Answer The angled top panel staying open is normal. You don’t have to push is down (shut) but it won’t harm anything if you do. We usually do as it not only looks better but keeps the dust out. Either way though, you’re good. Hope this helps.

• A:Answer The body is 12-inches in depth (back edge to front edge), then another 2-inches for the paper tray which extends from the front on the bottom. Also keep in mind that while printing, the tray that catches whatever you’re printing will extend even further; 19-inches total from the back of the printer to the front of this tray. Canon says it works, BB says it works, but there are lots of comments on the Canon site saying it doesn't work on many Mac systems.
