How long does it take the battery to recharge? null

For the Canon "genuine" 1250 mAh battery from full discharge it takes about 3 hours. CAUTION! There are other cheaper off-brands available mostly with HALF the mAh ratings so you take considerably fewer pictures with longer and more frequent charging.

I would leave it in overnight as it seemed to do little in the first few hours. Much longer then my cell phones take to charge. Seems to hold up well once charged.
