Q: QuestionThe current camera I have has shutter lag -- it takes about a 1/2 second -- up to 1 full second between the time I press the shutter button until the camera takes the the photo. Does this camera have little (or no) shutter lag? (I do a lot of bird pix.)

• A:Answer No discernable shutter lag. I use the Canon SX series daily - SX620HS and SX720HS.They are rugged, metal body cameras with great optics. Good choice for birding.

• A:Answer To upload photos, I put the memory card into my laptop; the photos come in on Drive E. I highlight all and transfer them to my Graphics folder. After they're safely in the new folder, I go back to E, highlight all the photos, and press delete. The prompt asks if I'm sure -- I double check that it's Drive E, and delete. All gone! Re-insert the card into the camera. If for some reason I want to keep a couple of photo on the camera, I just don't highlight / delete those.

Q: QuestionDoes it come with an instruction manual? I HATE it when they say NO! but one can be downloaded, but what then?? Print it and carry around an 8 x 11 binder if you need to look something up? No manual is a deal breaker...

• A:Answer This camera has 4 size settings. Small would be best for emails. Large is good for printing posters. It has a WiFi link so you could send from your camera. I don't, but I think the manual has the instructions. Not the best camera to take pictures of the moon, or micro life, but if you just want to send email pictures, it should do nicely.

• A:Answer No you can not. To do this you would need a program like Adobe Photoshop to merge the two images. Laying one over the other and adjusting the transparency of the top image or remove the elements from one image and overlaying on the other. At present I believe Adobe is still providing version CS2 for Photoshop free for MAC and PC thru the following internet address: https://www.techspot.com/downloads/3689-adobe-photoshop-cs2.html CS2 works fine on Windows 10 but unsure of its performance or compatibility on current Apple OS X. Insure you copy the "Universal" Serial number for your OS and enter it when you install the program on your MAC or PC.

• A:Answer You would need a long exposure time setting or bulb mode, and likely a tripod as well. I don't think this camera has a bulb mode, which is difficult anyway without some kind of remote or cable. I think the longest exposure time on this cam might be 15 sec.
