You can use both your smartphone and your original garage door opener but you must be careful not to clear the communication codes when syncing your devices. You my have to reprogram your garage door opener after installing this device. Refer to your garage door opener instructions or go online to see some videos on how to setup your devices with your garage door opener.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When you installed the MYQ you must've held the learn button on your garage opener too long. I did this the first time i set mine up also. All you have to do is relearn your car remote to the garage opener again. No need to relearn the MYQ. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They should all work together - maybe double-check to be sure you didn't accidentally forget your other remotes when learning the myQ hub? I had to go back and "relearn" my remotes the first time because I held the learn button for too long on my opener. Just a thought - good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You should be able to still use your old remote and have this app set up. If it doesn't than you've erased the rolling codes and only added the MyQ remote. You should be able to push the learn button on your garage door opener motor and re-learn or sync the old remote without erasing the MyQ. I know this works, I have 4 remotes and the MyQ all working on one garage opener motor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This does not work with a remote. This hub is in escience a remote that happens to be mounted very close to the garage opener and is activated with the app via the internet.
