how does the door come off for cleaning null

I don't think it does. The door is a major flaw on this unit as it's a crumb and grease magnet, and has lots of little holes and spaces where things can drop.

Mine easily slips off for cleaning while tilting the door down while lightly lifting until it his the right release spot.

The hinge pins are spring loaded. Take a knife, small screw driver or something with a blade that does not flex & use it to work the pins out of the slot that holds them.

Mine does not come off at all - I have the Chefman 6.3 Quart Digital Air Fryer - pictured above - and it does NOT come off simply by lifting it. One of the pins on the top is stuck which does not let the door lock. I LOVE MY air fryer and use it almost every day for all sorts of recipes, so I feel lost without it. I have had it over 2 years and have had no problems until now. I will continue to try prying the pin so the door can shut, but if I cannot do it, will just buy another one because this one is perfect for my husband and I.

Pull up on the handle and its slips right off for easy cleaning. Push down and locks back in place. I love it.
