• Most bottled water has minerals. Use DISTILLED WATER to prevent mineral buildup.

• yes if it is not too hard. otherwise you can mix tap water with distilled, but never use just distilled.

• You can use tap but I recommend bottled water to ensure no mineral deposits build up in the iron which can also clog your steam holes and cause them to sputter.
