A:AnswerWell, yes...we just went thru this and the TV is now back in box for pickup from Amazon. We do not have a smartphone either but we have 2 iMac computers with Google access of course, but that was insufficient, sadly. We spent 4+ hours yesterday trying to get it to work, including Sony tech support call (worthless, sadly. We hooked it it up, connected to antenna (like all of our other TV's). We do not have Comcast or Direct TV etc. We also have 2 iMacs both connected to internet (with Google accesss/account) of course. We setup a separate Google gmail account, with appropriate settings / passwords, but when it came time to getting the required Verification Code, it would not go. Ever. We tried setting up a new separate gmail account but still no go. I am a graphic artist (advertising business owner) who've worked on Macs since 1964 so not tech challenged but this stumped us. We followed instructions to the letter, we thought, but still when TV would not release the requried "Verification Code" to the g-mail account we'd set up via Google, per intructions, we were stymied. Later we realized it must be that we had to have an iPhone to receive the verification code...it would send it to our gmail or my iMac (sitting nearby above our working router). We thought we might have issues with the router but it worked fine, was connected etc. We are seniors, yes...but not stupid(??) or were we? Rethinking everything leads us to believe that the
key "verification" code linking TV to facilitate the google streaming capability had to be sent to a smart phone ot tablet. we have neither. We have an eBay biz we manage on my iMac - along with emails, etc. but no "smart' phones.
We also have an older (dumb?) Sony Bravia that works great - just fine. We may just be technicalaly challenged (and unsmart?)...and the bigger Bravia 55 did have a gorgeous image and great sound...but we'll be fine. Good Luck and pardon our ignorance. I just wish someone would have ex-plained that the set-up to access all streaming features required you to have a smart phone. Thx / All the best. Charlie and Barbara / Memphis area
A:AnswerI followed the directions, but I get a verbal message that xfinity Stream "is not available on this TV". And now I can't even cast it from my phone.
A:AnswerYes, you can definitely change the language setting for Chromecast with Google TV by following these steps:
- Go to Settings.
- Select System.
- Select Language. Then, choose your preferred language and select the radio button beside it.
A:AnswerThe remote has universal IR capability with a power button and volume control. Similar to the roku remote I have it doesnt turn on the TV through HDMI but the way any normal TV remote would work.
A:AnswerHey there, great question! The Uzzu app does not come pre-installed on the Chromecast with Google TV (4K) and would require a compatible IPTV app in order to access its content.
A:AnswerI have 15 apps on mine. Using 3.0 GB of storage. Leaving me 1.2 GB of available storage. So, I estimate I could add 6 more apps if I wanted equaling 21 apps. Be aware the not all apps use the same amount of storage, so it also depends on which apps you want.
A:AnswerGet whichever one is based on your TV's resolution HD TVs are sometimes labeled as Full HD, FHD, or 1080p. No worries if you don't know the resolution of your TV, they both are compatible with any resolution TV with a HDMI port. You can either get the 4k model if you're okay with the extra cost or HD if you're on a budget - resolution is the only difference between these two models.
A:AnswerHi there! Thank you for your question. Yes. With your Chromecast with Google TV (4K) you can control the YouTube app to play music, videos or even cast to the TV just like your phone and your LG smart TV. The good news is that your device is partnered with a remote control that has the capability to let you navigate your device using your voice that has the Google Assistant feature that makes it easier to manage contents and recommendations based on your preferences. A:AnswerYes. You can plug in your Chromecast with Google TV to a power strip and as long as it's receiving enough power, it should work fine. Chromecast with Google TV comes with an adapter with an auto-volt input range voltage of 110V - 240V. Any input level within this range should work. We highly recommend connecting your Chromecast directly to a power outlet to avoid any issues, but you can also connect it to the USB port of your TV.

A:AnswerYes. You may be able to connect several Bluetooth devices, like headphones, speakers or game controllers, to your Chromecast with Google TV. Take note that you can only connect one audio device at a time. Also, Chromecast is designed to work optimally with a TV with HDMI input. Although a setup with your projector may work, there may be some connectivity and quality issues such as low audio quality.
A:AnswerIn general, Chromecast with Google TV works with most TVs, even old non-smart ones as long as it is connected to a TV with an HDMI input, and connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network. Availability and performance of certain features, services, and applications are device and network dependent. MSNBC is not included on the list of cast-enabled apps. However, If you're using an Android device, you can mirror your phone screen to the Chromecast to watch content from the MSNBC.

A:AnswerFor this version, you don't need your phone at all. You use the remote that comes with it and you just log in to whatever streaming service you have (whether it be Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Apple TV, YouTube, YouTube TV, Spotify, etc.) to start watching TV shows and movies or listening to music. It is similar to the Roku, but with a way better design in my opinion.
A:AnswerYes-ish, you will need a USB-C hub with power. After getting that, you can add in a USB flash drive, format it and it will add more storage. After formatting it, you will not be able to use that USB drive on computer without formatting it again.
A:AnswerAbsolutely. Chromecast with Google TV has an internal storage where you can download and run apps and games. It offers sharper 4K picture quality and access to tons of apps without having to cast them from your phone or tablet. Plus, Chromecast with Google TV includes a Voice Remote.
