I had the same problem with HBO Max show Hacks on my Samsung Frame TV. Weird, the first and third episode is fine but the second and fourth episode is in Spanish yet all the settings are correct and other shows we watch on HBO work fine. Started the episode that was in Spanish, switched it to Spanish in settings and then back to English as one commenter suggested and yep, fixed it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This just happened to me. Going into the profile settings did not fix this issue. I read what the other user suggested. It only works if you play a movie, press pause, and go down to the Closed Captioning settings Box in the bottom right corner. You can adjust the Audio Language and the CC Subtitle Language there - It fixes it. Also, you may need to repeat it for every profile that is impacted.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was able to correct this by changing the language, while watching the show, to Spanish and playing it a bit then changing it back to English. Snapped it right out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased a ROKU remote to use on my Samsung Smart Plus TV. I struggled on connecting the ROKU because it is listed under game players when trying to connect a new device to the Samsung TV. The instructions for ROKU setup were in Spanish, so I looked at a couple of YOUTUBE videos and figured out how to set the ROKU to English menus (IDOMA is Spanish for language). Everything sounded good, then we went to HBO Max and it was in Spanish on the " O.C." TV show. I followed instructions gathered from several sites. 1 Set the language setting for closed captions on the ROKU English. 2 force the ROKU to perform a download of latest version. 3 force ROKU to do a factory reset. 4 perform a download of the latest version for your Samsung Smart Plus TV. 5 perform a factory reset of the TV. The OC on HBO Max started speaking English!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The answer from Google is pitiful - yes, I should factory reset my device because HBOMax is garbage software and doesn't work properly. /sarcasm The solutions are these - cast the show that is being problematic from your phone or other mobile device, or try clearing the cache on the app. Do NOT waste your time and effort on the useless advice from Google. Unbelievable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is happening on my Sony TV, towards the end of Raised by Wolves, it changes into Spanish, every other episode. In closed captioning, the Spanish option is gone so the only option is to watch with English subtitles. This app sucks!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same thing. Only one show. On HBO Max ?!? I used the directional buttons >>down while the show was playing to get a pop-up close captioning box lower right. Open CC box and toggle between the languages a couple times and exit CC.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have two shows on max that are in Spanish and I tried everything they ask me to the shows are the big bang theory and Mike and Molly
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Why am I HBO latino
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Same thing just happened to me. Seems like just plain negligence if this is still happening after two years and nobody has done anything to keep this from happening again and again...
