Yep, you will just need to buy an adapter from Google. https://store.google.com/product/chromecast_ethernet_adapter_gen_2
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Google branded ethernet adapter only supports 10/100mbps but lots of generic usb-c hubs claim 1000mbps. In my reality testing, iperf measures ~240mbps with these adapters, which is about the same speed as my ASUS Zen WiFi 6 mesh system that uses gigabit ethernet backhaul. My TV happens to sit right next to a mesh wifi node, but I prefer to use ethernet wherever possible to preserve wifi capacity and performance for the devices that cannot. It isn't all about signal strength, devices compete for airtime on wifi, and urban/dense settings are flooded in RF noise from other nearby wifi networks that makes wifi less reliable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You absolutely can. There apparently aren't a lot of hubs that work but this one has been reviewed online and proven to work great: https://www.amazon.com/UtechSmart-Ethernet-Delivery-Compatible-Chromebook/dp/B07H2ZS1B5 Look up Troypoint on YouTube for the video. Shows how to setup your Chromecast to use this hub and other external devices including Gigabit ethernet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, absolutely! Chromecast with Google TV can be connected to internet both via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet adapter that supports a USB-C port.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There currently are no adapters for it yet. If you don't have WIFI, you can buy a router or adapter for less than 50 dollars.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don't do this if you can avoid it. I have a Chromecast gen two hardware adapter and it works great. Nowadays though the wireless connectivity supports much faster speeds than hardwired. I clocked this Chromecast speed and its pushing on average between 120 and 185 mbs second and have seen burst upwards of 225 mbs. The hardwire ethernet only supports 100 mbs and averages about 98 to 100 mbs. If you have bad wireless in your house consider a mesh wireless solution such as Amazon eero or Google Nest Wifi which can improve your connection. This is important if you want to start viewing High definition HD like 4K movies.
