The Cinemate GS II features a pair of speakers to place on the left and right of your TV. The Cinemate 15 instead features a single compact soundbar speaker. Both units come with a full universal remote, though the design on the Cinemate 15 remote is updated somewhat. Hope this helps!

Both have the universal remote that can control multiple devices like cable/sat box, dvd/blu-ray etc.
