• It is always recording. When the card fills up, then it overwrites the oldest video with the newest. When an impact is detected, it locks the video file so that it is not overwrited.

• Your camera should be set to a default of continuous loop for 3 minutes However there is a setting you can turn off the camera if you don't want it on
