The installer was able to cut my granite but they charge their own fee. It was $125 extra to cut the granite. I had a complete kitchen install and for each item that needed modification there were separate charges.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem. They took a 1/4th inch off of our granite to make the new stove fit. No problems. These guys no what they are doing!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think the installer can do the cutting for you but the installer will charge additional for this work which is not included with the regular installation fees. I had similar case for the Corian countertop which the installer needs to make two cuts to the countertop to make the opening slightly larger to fit the new cooktop. I was provided with the costs and they were reasonable and I paid the installer directly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. We had the same issue. The installers are there to simply deliver the product, drop it in the opening, and hook up the electrical. Period. Our granite opening was 1/4" too small. We had them set the cooktop on the wood supports that came with the cooktop, and hook up the wires. We then called a granite company to come out and enlarge the opening.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No he cannot because he only required to installed or else to here will be an additional charge.
