- Answer Short answer is no. This is for an SD drive that is thinner shorter in length and width. hope that helps.

- Answer No. They do not line up. The only thing this is good for is hooking up with loose cables.

- Answer The majority of desktop computers accept a 3.5 inch HDD without any need to use an adapter. This adapter mimics the outline of a 3.5 inch drive while holding a 2.5 inch drive - so your goal of mounting a 3.5 inch drive doesn't need this adapter.

- Answer The HDD I replaced slid into the case. I took the slides from the HDD and attached to this bracket (after installing the SSD) and it worked perfectly.

- Answer No because you do not need it. The Samsung drive will fit into the MacBook without any additional adapters because the Samsung is the same size as the drive that you will be replacing it with.

- Answer Yes it will fit. As a bonus, you can mount 2 drives with it, but you'll need a second SATA data cable and power cable for the 2nd drive.

- Answer If your Slimline has a 3.5” hard drive, then this should fit it. Even if you only use one 2.5” drive in the enclosure. Otherwise if the Slimline has a 2.5” HD for the original drive, no need for the enclosure.

QuestionWill the screws work to mount my 3.5 hdd to my compute? My computer comes with its own mount and all I need is the screws so will the screws work with the hdd and the hdd is an seagate 2tb sata.

- Answer yes, two styles of screws are included. both are 'standard' sizes. Eight for mounting two drives, four for mounting the frame.

- Answer Absolutely. There are standard mounting holes on the bottom but also has openings through each railing / corner. Depending on the brand SSD & especially the physical dimensions. Never hurts to compare exact measurements of your 2.78SSD to confirm.

- Answer Not very likely, as this is an adapter-mount for 3.5" Desktop PC's. (I've never seen a Laptop with a 3.5" Hdd mount~, but maybe an old 'dinosaur' model from the 60's did??)

- Answer Probably not. Pretty sure msi laptops use standard size laptop hard drives, which fit inside this bracket. So fitting the bracket itself inside your laptop would be impossible.

- Answer Yes, this is intended for exactly your scenario. This bay will accept 2x 2.5 Drives. Sata cables will be in a typical direction to make it easier to swap.
