“I have a MSI B450M Pro-M2 Max Motherboard and it says the memory support is only up to 2667MHz and 3466MHz[OC]. Will that bottleneck this 3600MHz RAM then? (Even with OC)”

Anything over 3200mhz causes ryzen to change clock ratios in the infinity fabric to cpu to ram clocking ratio (3200mhz and under set to 1:1:1) gamers nexus did a great video on YouTube on the topic of ryzen overclocking and ram overclocking for ryzen.

Just set dcop in the bios to run the ram at full speed. It should run it at 3600 and if not the latency for 3400 will still be amazing on it. I personally would go for the 3600 seeing how now a days it’s the same price as 3000 and 3200. Never heard of a ram bottle neck.

Hi Lukas, Your motherboard would run the memory at the lowest speed it supports and throttle the memory speed. It would be better to purchase the speed that your motherboard officially supported. -Brian
