It's advertised as being much more comfortable than the original as well as adds bluetooth connectivity. With the addition of Bluetooth, it supports connecting to both a PC via the slipstream wireless dongle AND a phone or tablet or another pc via bluetooth. I tried the original but returned them due to both comfort and sidetone issues, so I'm pretty interested in giving these a shot. A really good review was posted today on YouTube by 'TheTechne' so far it's the only one i've seen.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.2 big differences to me, having used both: The SE was a little uncomfortable to me, I think it was a bit to tight, left my ears sore before long. The XTs happily solve this, a bit less tension, and noticably more padding up top. The bluetooth functionality is also very good to have, it's solved my problem of wanting to switch out to earbuds to use my phone when I leave my pc for a break. You can play audio from a different device (or the same computer, perhaps for extra range), and the audio just naturally plays in a 2nd channel. It sounds excellent, and you can make phone calls without pausing or taking off the headset either. It's kind of the best feature I never knew I wanted. Those are the 2 big ones; the updated looks aren't bad either, but the first issue alone with the comfort is what sold me, personally.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They have Bluetooth and Dolby Atmos as others have said. Corsair also added padding to the middle of the headband to reduce pressure on the top of your head. They slightly improved the padding on the earpads as well; this has the side benefit of improving bass response since the upgraded earpads provide a better seal. On the SE, you had to swap out the original thin earpads for thicker aftermarket ones available online (twenty bucks). (You can remove the pads by turning them half and inch clockwise and pulling out).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Main differences would be the XT has Bluetooth connectivity, Dolby Atmos and increased padding all around.. This headset pretty much has every connectivity option you may want to have making it super versatile.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have both XT and SE. I have the XT and I got the SE for my kids. The main difference over SE is the Bluetooth capability, Dolby Atmos Licensed included, and the 3.5mm cable has inline volume/mic control. $15 for Dolby Atmos license from Dolby Access. so $45 more for BT capability. For me It is worth it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The XT also features Dolby Atmos where the original and the SE do not.
