Please try again later.To be clear, are you planning on having the mist blow directly on the plants by placing them in front of the nozzle like a person might do with a fern? I wouldn't. If you are asking about just having them in the same room as the unit, they would be fine. I have a humidifier like this, but another brand. I wouldn't put my hand in the exiting steam for prolonged periods as it would burn. It's steam, not a cool mist humidifier. But, that could be unclear as one of the videos associated with this product says it is a cool mist machine, which it isn't, and even says it doesn't recommend a warm mist machine around a child. Seems to be a mix up. Sometimes comments are associated with multiple products. I am answering for product "Crane - 1 Gal. Portable Warm Mist Humidifier", Model:EE5201A
