• I wouldn't because it has made whatever next to it wet every once in awhile.

• It keeps running until it runs out of water, then a red light turns on. You still have to turn the switch off. I wouldn't take the risk of leaving it on unattended for an extended period of time. I would buy a lamp timer for $5, connect to the outlet via the lamp timer and play it safe that way.

• I Googled this since wondered same thing. Recommended to not run other than when needed so I only ran at night while sleeping and emptied each morning.

• I wondered this same thing and Googled answer. Everywhere I read said to only run it at night when sleeping. Probably related to wear and tear, etc.

• Yes. I never turn it off. It shuts off automatically when water tank is used up.

• I do. Depending on how hard it has to run you can do it all day. If it runs out of water it shuts off.
