• Not very long just depends if you want to slow cook or have it ready within 1 hours and 30 mins. Maybe sooner just depends on when it needs to be ready

• I fixed a 2.5 pound roast beef with carrots , mashed potatoes and gravy. After prep time, I put all in the pot and it was done in 40 minutes.

• Haven't done roast beef yet but a whole chicken is 35 min, let it cool 10 minutes and open the vent. It's ready when you can open the lid.

• A whole chicken half frozen, we like to set it for 2 hours, and it probably could be done in less time, but we like it well done, and it is still juicy.

• Yes it cooks a whole chicken, comes with a recipe book and on p. 15 is says it cooks a “whole roast chicken”- Prep time- 10 minutes Cool time - 45 Minutes Yields an approximate 6 servings My wife cooked a 2lb roast beef in it, but you can definitely fit close to a 5 lb chuck on there.
