Hello, thanks for getting in touch, SSD part CT1000T500SSD5 is compatible with your MSI (Micro Star) MAG B550 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI system. You can remove the heatsink from the motherboard and connect crucial SSD with heatsink on it. The only difference will be after installing the SSD you will not put back the motherboard heatsink. Because if you remove the heatsink from crucial drive, it will void the warranty. If you want the crucial SSD without heat sink, then you can use this part CT1000T500SSD8.
