This is just a drive, no partition software and no drivers. It is plug and play. Acts like a thumb drive or any other external ssd/hdd.

Regarding your query, we would like to inform you that Crucial X6 SSD is an external drive which needs to be connected to the USB port. once connected then you can access your X6 or X8 in File Explorer. Once in File Explorer, you should see under “My Computer” that the “Crucial X6 or X8” drive is present. You can then go into your drive and move, copy, or delete files. To learn how to set up your drive to back up your computer, navigate to your Crucial drive and open the URL support file that will link to our website through your internet browser. Regards
