QuestionIs it practical to use this with a wheeled desk chair without being propelled away from the machine? Perhaps I should say "practical" instead of possible...? Second, are there reasons not to use it on a carpet vs. a floor, mat or no mat? Thanks!

- Answer Yes, you can use this with a wheeled desk chair so long as you are pedaling with your knees instead of your hips, else you would push your chair further away. Ours rests on a carpeted floor and is used with a desk chair that's wheeled and resting directly on the carpet (and not on a desk chair mat) and there are no problems with being pushed away. The unit is weighted well enough to rest on carpet or hardwood and won't move, though carpet does offer more resistance if you are pedaling hard.

QuestionMy wife is 4 foot 10 inches tall. Can she use this machine without straining her legs ? An average chair will not allow her to touch the floor with her feet.

- Answer I'm 5'8", so it's hard for me gauge, but I think she would have a stretch. However. You can use this thing anywhere. We have it sitting in front of the couch. If she has any chair or stool that fits her, it will work. It comes with pads you can put the front feet of the stool in so it won't slide. It is VERY heavy, so you won't be moving it around much.

QuestionMy wife injured her heel and can't walk. She also can't put any pressure on her heel until her foot heals. Would she be able to exercise her legs without putting pressure on her heel?

- Answer I am 5'3" and am able to sit at a dining room chair and pedal. However, I cannot sit on a chair with wheels and pedal. I would wonder if having a chair with wheels would interfere with using it at your desk. I hope this helps.

- Answer The resistance can be adjusted with the circular knob on the front of the machine. The best way to feel that additional resistance is to actively use the elliptical for 30+ minutes as the increments are small but make a larger difference with longer use.

QuestionThere doesn't seem to be any difference in the number of resistance from 1-8. They all seem to have the same strength--not only on mines, but also on a friend's Cubii.

- Answer My knees are both recovering from being smashed in an accident. You can work on your extention slowly. The cubii will only move with your motion. It doesn't automatically move. Even if you can't move a lot, slowly and as much as you can move is helping to increase your range of motion. I don't dare get on a bike either. And forget thinking about getting on the floor to exercise. I would never be able to get up. But i push myself everyday a little more. I'm 70.

- Answer I haven't had it long enough to say for sure, but I don't see why not. You can set the resistance and depending how hard you work it you can get your heart rate going. You are also working some of the largest muscle groups so you should be burning calories.

QuestionI just don't see any advantage of this doing anything to help leg movement as advertised. Question(s) what do this look like under the cover? Is the speed depending upon how fast it is peddled?

- Answer The product looks exactly like the photo. Speed is up to the user on how fast they move their feet. There is a resistance knob that can be set to 8 different levels. When using the machine for over 20 minutes, my legs have a little wobble/different feeling upon standing which goes away quickly but shows there is a result. I have let other people who don't use machines for working out or are sedentary and they have all had positive things to say. All have used it for a minimum for 10 minutes when I thought they would only try a few revolutions.
