- Answer Yes you can remove beans from basket after grinding them. You can also put ground beans in the basket and by pass the grinding process if you so choose to.

QuestionI set my grind control to 4 so it will make 4 cups and Brew strength to boldest. However, It always brews 8-12 cups instead of 4. What’s wrong? It’s grinding enough beans for 4 cups, however since it’s making 8-12 cups instead the coffee is very weak.

- Answer so after some experimentation when I first got my coffee maker. There seems to be two sensors. One to verify you emptied your basket and the other to verify water is in the tank. You need two cups of water to not show empty and you need to empty the basket. FYI that also means if you want to reheat coffee you have to add two cups of water as well

- Answer Yes you can use pre ground coffee. Put the coffee in the basket and push grinder off.

QuestionCan you change the settings on the grinder? It is making very weak coffee, but I noticed the grind of the beans was course...the only thing I see is “grind control” but that controls how many beans not the actual setting of the grind.

- Answer There are 3 strength settings you can choose. In my experience, it doesn’t increase the number of beans but it does increase brewing time. I believe it regulates the strength by increasing the time the hot water sits with the grounds before emptying into the pot. I have even timed the grinding time to verify it doesn’t grind extra beans when you increase the strength.

QuestionI put 12 cups of water in, set the grinder for 12 and hit brew. I did this twice and it will only push 2 cups of water through the system. I still have about 10 cups of water left and it shuts off. I pushed grinder off and it only beeps.

- Answer Strange but we kinda discovered that by opening the filter up and closing it back up resets it. Hope that helps. Ours is doing great. If we make a pot of 12 and then want to add water to the pot (like 2 cups) after taking a couple cups of coffee we do need to open the filter and reclose it. Also we turn grinder off.

Questionis there a way to adjust how many beans are used for each brew. the basket is always full to the top when grinding either 4 cups or 12 no difference. with the price of coffee I don't want to use 1/4 lb on 4 cups.
