QuestionWhen I make a single serving, the grounds get in my cup and are all over the top of the chamber. The hole punched in the top of the pod is much bigger than the bottom. What’s going on?

- Answer Hi....my machine is doing the same thing. It's exploding the k cups and the grounds are going in my coffee cup and in the chamber. It's happened twice today and I'm not a happy camper having to clean up the mess. I'm thinking about returning the unit.

QuestionIs there anyway to turn the keep warm function back on? We brewed a pot of coffee, then used the single serve side and it turned the keep warm function off. Any way to turn it back on without brewing more coffee?

- Answer When the "Warm" setting shuts off and there's still coffee in the pot, I just hit the Brew button to reset "warm". The coffee maker senses that brewing was completed and then goes into warm mode.

- Answer Clean the puncture needle on top of the lid that punctures the k-cup it’s probably plugged. Lift the lid and take the 4 screw out, this allows you to get that top plate down and exposes the top of the needle and the rubber hose then you can take it apart and clean it. Just be careful it’s sharp.

QuestionMy Cusinart SS-15 has the 3 cup volumes lights flashing blue and will not send the water through the coffee cup in the single dispenser. Why would these lights flash and how do you fix the issue. The unit is about 1 year old.

- Answer I recently experienced the same issue with my SS-15. Will not brew, and the three cup-size lights are flashing on and off. Nothing that I tried would start the unit working, and I did not find any solution to this on the internet. So....I called Cuisinart customer service....and a person answered!!! They informed me that there is a "reset process" for this problem: Per Cuisinart customer service: remove water reservoir locate toggle switch on the Right side of unit flip toggle on and off for 60 seconds unplug machine for at least 10 minutes Re-attach reservoir and plug unit back in....the unit should have reset. Once unit is working, descale unit with 50/50 white vinegar and water in reservoir. (3-4 brewed cups) then flush unit out by brewing 4-6 cups of plain water. I'm in the process of trying the above solution, not finished with it yet.

QuestionHello, I bought the coffeemaker two weeks ago and right after the first week it asked me to clean. I cleaned it, however the next day the cleaning button was still red. can you suggest me what to do? Thank you!

- Answer If you are talking about the clean light on the k cup side, put a large coffee cup under the spout on the cup side. Fill reservoir with 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water. Hold down both of the two left buttons on the Kcup side, which are the 6 and 8 ounce buttons. Run again and again until reservoir is empty. The light should go away. Hope is worked for you. It worked for me.

QuestionThe single serve side won't brew. Water in - check; cover opened and closed, clicking in place - check; push the 10-oz button and it flashes - check; hear the motor for a moment - check; then it stops and all three cup sizes blink and nothing comes out.

- Answer Three flashing lights means the coffee maker overheated due to the top needle being clogged. Open the top and stick the end of a paper clip into the hole. It will clear the clog and it will work normally. This is from the owners manual and has to be done from time to time based on use.

QuestionI have the Cuisinart with the k-cup feature. When I use a k-cup and lift the lid after it brews I find what looks like the ground coffee has blown back around the top needle. I also noticed that the black rubber gasket at the top needle ruptures top ofcup

- Answer We push the k-cup down as we insert, to pop the bottom. That releases the pressure and we haven't had any more problems. Hope this helps

QuestionI just unpacked my Coffee Center and read the safety literature. I do not have a place in my kitchen for a coffee brewer that doesn't sit underneath my cabinets. Surely I am not the only person with this issue. Any thoughts on my predicament?

- Answer The safety literature cautionary statement is intended to protect your overhead cabinets from steam damage. I have the same issue. To address this I have placed the unit on an absorbent pad so I can slide the unit forward such that the brewing portion is not directly under the cabinet. Then the steam produced during brewing does not contact the cabinet. The absorbent pad also catches the splatter that occurs when making single serve cups. Being able to slide the unit forward also aids in filling the water reservoirs.

- Answer It does not grind. Makes full pot on 1 side & a 6,8 or 10oz cup on the other side. You can use k cups or ground coffee (comes with a permanent filter also)on the cup side. I love it!

- Answer I don't know what the manufacturer recommends, but we leave water in the reservoir until it says "add water."

- Answer You can’t do both at the same time. You can make a pot of coffee and then do a k cup or visa versa. We love this coffee maker

- Answer We leave ours on all the time and it doesn't seem to affect it. It needs to stay on if your using the autobrew feature.
