- Answer Yes, it does include the battery. The system will need to plugged in and allowed to fully charge the battery before it will be able to power your equipment during a power outage.

QuestionWill this protect electronics from brief brownouts? I haven’t measured the voltage fluctuations I’m getting, but say my 120V drops to 90V for a second or so.. does the voltage regulation bridge the gap and attempt to keep the output at 120V?

- Answer Cfarber, yes, the voltage regulation does its best to keep the voltage output steady. However, if the voltage drops too low, the system will likely switch over to battery power.

QuestionI have two Ring cameras that run roughly 4-5 watts each and a modem and router that pull just over 10 watts. In the event of a blackout or if the fuse is tripped, how long will the backup battery last until the power is restored?

- Answer About 25 hours, most UPS’s give you about 15 minutes at max wattage, so doing the math that gets you roughly 25 hours. This obviously can change based on how much power is being utilized at all times, climate and humidity, efficiency factors, as well as the wear and tear on the UPs unit. Out of the box id expect a guaranteed 20 hours though no matter what.

QuestionCan this UPS's display lights be dimmed or turned off?

- Answer Hello, The LCD screen illumination cannot be dimmed. Although it can be turned off completely by pressing the Down/Display button for 2 seconds. This will keep the LCD display always on or turn the LCD display off completely while in AC/ Utility power mode. Great question!

- Answer Hello MsOutdoorsy, Yes, the unit has a mute button right over the LCD display. The only alarm that cannot be silenced is an overload alarm as that is something you'd want to address right away. Thank you for submitting your question!

QuestionHi i have a high end gaming pc that is running an 11700k cpu (pretty power hungry) and a 3080 suprim gpu(also power hungry the computer has 10 fans/liquid cooler and uses a 1000wat gold rated psu would this ups be able to handle that?

- Answer Mine says it provides 900 operating watts. I personally have an i7-8700k, an EVGA 3080ti and a ton of RGB fans and I’m requiring as many as ~650 watts so this 1500va/900watts model works fine.

- Answer Hello Mike, no, it will not function in the EU. This product was designed for use with the Electrical grid and voltages used in the the USA, as such it will only operate in line mode when the source electrical power is within the frequency and voltage standard in the US.

Questionhow do you reset this to the factory settings, when i do a self test when connected to via usb it turns everything off and goes into a timer, turns things back on in 5 secs. meanwhile when i do same thing to my other ups back up it passes test.

- Answer Hello! the self test functions by placing the UPS in to battery mode for a short period of time, if the UPS's batteries are completely depleted his can cause the UPS to shut down. If you have owned the UPS for less than 3 years I would encourage you to reach out to our support at 1.877.297.6937. If you have had it for longer then you may need to purchase a new battery for the UPS, you can find the correct replacement SKU https://www.cyberpowersystems.com/battery-replacement-tool/. To directly answer the question though, hold down the Enter Button for Setup, tab down until you see "dEF", press enter, tap up to "YES", press enter again to factory reset the unit.

- Answer The last answer assumes it is an electric water heater. Modern tankless gas units also require AC power, but a very small amount of draw. It should be fine for those. They often have a small exhaust fan, so you should still check the load. Also, there are backups designed just for this, that have a water flow sensor so that they only provide power when it's actually needed for hot water.
