“Ok I'm Confused...about 1080 ti having a dvi port some forums on line state that it does not and you need to to use an adapter. my question then does the 1080 ti on this particular computer have a dvi port and does not need an adapter..? TIA”

Mine does not have DVI or VGA ports. Nor did it come with any adapters. It just has 3 or 4 HDMI type ports.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the blower fan versions of the card removed the DVI port for ventilation. Cards that are not the blower type will generally have a DVI port on them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you are referring to the GTX 1080 TI graphic card having a DVI then there is no DVI port on the graphic card. However, there is a DVI port on the motherboard you can use as a source for your monitor.

Because of this the actual ports may vary in which there may or may not be a DVI port available. Other cards will have only one HDMI and three Display Port connections which is the typical layout of ports on most GTX 1080 Ti's.
