If your run your display fps higher then what your monitor can actually work while using an hdmi cable that can probably only work at 30-60fps that is the cause of the issue run only at 60 fps with hdmi. You can get one that goes up to 80fps and idk if they have anything better out yet, just by a display port cable. You will be fine after that.
