“How can i use the hdmi on the motherboard? It just says no signal. I am trying to connect the oculus rift and am on the step where i need to connect the headset to the gpu hdmi so i need the monitor on the one that is not gpu hdmi or i cannot continue.”

Thank you for reaching out Oco. There are two HDMI ports on the back of your computer. The ones above the audio jacks (red, blue, green), is connected to the motherboard while the HDMI port below the audio jacks, is connected to the GPU or video card. There is a chance you may need to buy another cable use as a DVI cable in order to continue using the monitor as your VR headset may have taken the HDMI port on the video card.
