Yes, it will see through a window at night; however the image tends to be degraded by reflections bouncing off the inside of the window. I have mine set up to shoot through a window; the window-blinds are behind (more 'inside') the camera; but at night, the inside lights cause the image of the blinds to be reflected off the inside-face of the window, and back into the camera lens, making the image somewhat noisy. Clean the window real well; and the more 'straight-on' (90 degrees/right-angle) you can point the camera at the window, the better. The more slanted it is, the more reflection you will get.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was not able to - but my camera was a fair distance from the window Maybe if the camera was pressed against the glass
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.IR LED Night vision is not design to be used through glass and will distort the image. Turn off night vision for best results.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not very well, the IR light reflects off the glass in my experience.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has night illumination. BUT the reflection from the glass may cause trouble. It did for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We thank you for your question. Please note that D-Link does not recommend the use of any of our cameras which utilizes an IR LED that enables night vision, to be positioned in front of a window for viewing outside of that window do to the fact that the reflection of the IR LED's against the window may hamper night vision viewing and cause performance issues in dim lighting conditions. We thank you for choosing D-Link.
