No subscription is required. You can sign on and see what the camera sees anytime. For recording, you get 3 camera and one day cloud recording free, and can upgrade that for a fee.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well, yes and no. In typical D-Link fashion, they make it as confusing and convoluted as possible. It's not in the documentation or clear in their "Help" videos, but you can download the "My Dlink" app. There are two, maybe three "My Dlink" apps (!?). The app you want is the one that uses the "bubble" interface. Open the app, tap on the hamburger button on the top left portion of the screen and then "Cloud Recording." You can add up to three devices. The trial version is free, but it only records 15 secs per event and I don't see a way to increase that. Nor is there an option to upgrade from the trial version (again, this is Dlink we're talking about). You also can't access the camera via it's IP as you can with other wifi cameras. Just be aware that if you already have your cameras set up in one of the other "My Dlink" apps or on the "My Dlink" website, THIS "My Dlink" app will remove your devices from the other two services. Again, Dlink.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't require any cloud service. It does have an app and web client but I don't recommend it. They both time out after 20 secs of viewing so you can't stream constantly, you will always have to refresh.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They do not require a subscription but it limits the view time and there are other types and brands that do not limit view time. This cam you must hit continue watching on cell phone to continue after a few minutes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No subscription, just the app. You will like it.
