QuestionI got a message on my camera saying I needed to set my as card up in mp4 format. Can anyone explain that to me, I’m not very tech savy, thanks for any help on this.

- Answer Mp4 is the format of the videos, not the micro sd card. You probably have to format the card on a computer first. Use a card reader and it should show up as a drive (like F:\SanDisk for example) when you plug it in. From there make sure it's empty since formatting erases everything. Right click and choose Properties, then the Tools tab, then Format. If the default settings don't work try again choosing FAT32 as the formatting type.

QuestionI’m considering this camera to monitor my home while on vacation. Is it my understanding that you can access the camera via the phone app regardless of distance?

QuestionI have older D-link DCS5020L cameras. I have them on a schedule to record at night BUT the 5020.'s will not allow start time 9 PM and stop at 7 AM. You cannot schedule over midnight for start & stop, will this model allow a schedule over midnight?

- Answer Try going to your settings and looking for Pan-Tilt. Change the Pan-Tilt option from the default, "Swipe" to "Tap." Settings>Pan-Tilt>Tap Once you return to camera views, you should see directional arrows that allow you to move the camera focus and zoom in.

QuestionI bought the camera in the store in Fort Lauderdale and when I tried to use it in Argentina it didin't work. After calling dlink technical assistance they simple answered that this camera is not to be used in this country. Do you have any solution?

- Answer My only suggestion would be to download a VPN app, set your location as the United States and see if it works that way.

- Answer I seriously doubt it. The specs say the operating temps are 32 to 104 °F (0 to 40 °C), so I wouldn't try it personally.

QuestionI am getting a lot of distortion noise. They advise to TURN VOLUME ON CAMERA down and turn volume on phone up.. I can not for the life figure out how to turn down volume on camera. There is no volume control on the camera that I see..Pls advise

- Answer The volume control appears to be only in the software app itself. You have to go into settings for that specific device to change volume - after viewing the device, press the 9-dot icon down at the bottom to bring up sound options.
