• A:Answer Thank you for your question! The cameras record in colour during daylight. In the dark, infrared nightvision engages in black and white. The black and white in the product description refers to color of the camera casing.

• A:Answer Thank you for asking this Cap. Wireless or wired will depend entirely on how you need to set up your system. Both types of HD cameras can record in 1080p resolution, and the wireless cameras are completely secure. In terms of the phone you would use for remote viewing and alerts, you would need either an Android or iPhone smartphone.

• A:Answer Thank you for your question! Each camera includes 60ft of cable. If extensions are needed they are manufactured in 60ft and 120ft lengths.

Q: QuestionWhat framerate do the cameras record at when running at 1920x1080 resolution? Do the camera's have mics to listen in on audio? Can I disable motion detection per camera? Is the 1TB drive able to be swapped with say a 5 or 6TB drive on my own?

• A:Answer Thank you for your question! The DVR can record 8 channels at 15FPS while set to 1080P. The cameras do not have microphones, though the DVR does have 4x audio inputs where you can install third party RCA microphones. If you do want to switch the hard drive, it will support up to 8TB but we at Defender cannot support this modification.

• A:Answer Really a great question Mar. Our DVRs have an overwrite feature enabled by default. What does this mean? When your DVR hard drive becomes full, it will overwrite the oldest footage with the newest to keep your system recording at all times.

Q: QuestionI'm looking for a system that records sound along with the images. Does the DVR save audio along with the camera input? The Back of the DVR shows 4 inputs and 1 out, is there more documentation available?

• A:Answer Thank you for your question D. The included cameras do not have microphones built in. You can however, use a third party microphone which will record along with the video from the camera. Be sure to check your local laws and regulations regarding audio recording for surveillance.

• A:Answer Thank you for your question Tester. The camera cables have a video and power connection on each end. At the DVR, you will use the video connector, the power connector will then join to a 4 way power splitter, then to a power adapter plugged into an outlet.
